The Christian Executive Accelerator is a seven month leadership development program in Austin, Texas for emerging Christian leaders. It exists to help you rise in the marketplace with your faith and your character intact.
Most Christians in the marketplace get help in two separate places
The church teaches them what to believe. Their employer teaches them how to lead. Rarely does anyone help them connect the two, in the daily decisions, hard conversations, and promotion choices where it counts.
We have watched talented Christian leaders carry that gap for years. Some drift from their faith as their careers grow. Others hold their faith tightly and quietly step back from the roles where they could do the most good.
We built this program to close the gap. Your work matters to God, your ambition can be shaped by your faith, and leading well in a secular workplace is part of following Jesus there.
It started with a question
We did not begin with a framework. We began by asking senior Christian executives:
What do you wish you had known, or had someone teach you, when you were in your 20s and 30s?
More than two dozen leaders answered, most with over 25 years in the marketplace, and our founder has talked with dozens more over the years about the same topic. Their stories, regrets, and hard won lessons became the foundation of the curriculum, the coaching, and the guest conversations in every class.
Four convictions behind the program
- Your work matters to God. Your job is not a waiting room for ministry. The marketplace is a place where you are meant to serve, influence, and build.
- Character comes before competence. Skills get you the role. Character decides what you do with it. That is why the opening retreat starts with identity and character before it touches strategy.
- Formation happens in community. Nobody becomes a wise leader alone. The cohort, the coach, and the guest executives are built into the program on purpose.
- Excellence is part of faithfulness. We take professional growth as seriously as spiritual growth. About half the curriculum is executive development, and we hold it to the standard of any strong leadership program.
The team that designed this program
Ted Beasley
CEO, Emergent Execs
Ted began his career as a pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago and later co-founded Gateway Church in Austin, where he served for eleven years. When he felt a call to the marketplace, he launched Emergent Execs, which has now developed leaders for eighteen years. He has coached thousands of emerging and senior leaders across the corporate, government, nonprofit, and media sectors.
Ted has brought strategic and financial expertise to organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, and he has launched ventures in the U.S., Eastern Europe, and Australia. He holds an MBA from The University of Texas and spent more than ten years as a professor at the Acton School of Business, teaching entrepreneurship to MBA students.
Dr. Monica Scamardo
Lead Instructor, Emergent Execs
Dr. Scamardo holds a Psy.D. in Systems Psychology and has worked with hundreds of leaders in for profit and nonprofit organizations over fifteen years. She specializes in finding the leadership gaps and organizational dynamics that undermine trust and performance, and she uses research based assessments to help leaders build mastery in key competency areas.
She speaks at the national, regional, and state levels and is known for turning research into practice that leaders can apply right away. She is passionate about developing up and coming Christian leaders and has served for four years as the Austin Director of Resource Global, a mentoring program for Christian professionals.

The Christian Executive Accelerator comes from Emergent Execs, a leadership development company that has spent 18 years helping organizations build leaders who stay, grow, and perform. In that time, Emergent Execs has trained thousands of emerging managers and leaders in hundreds of companies, along with dozens of state and local government agencies.
Across its executive development programs, the results are documented:

Our faith
We are followers of Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is God's authoritative word, and that there is one God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus lived, died for our sins, and rose again, and that salvation is a gift of grace received by faith. We believe every believer is called to serve God wherever he places them, including in the marketplace.
This program is open to believers from many church backgrounds. We hold these core convictions firmly and approach secondary questions with humility.
